TOURIST ATTRACTIONS

  • Malecon 2000
  • Guayaquil, Ecuador's Malecón 2000, is a redeveloped riverbank neighborhood. It is located beside the Guayas River and provides a lively blend of eateries, retail establishments, historical sites, and leisure amenities. Beautiful gardens, museums presenting the city's history, fountains, and the first IMAX theater in South America are all features of this remarkable creation. People can take boat rides on the river along with the breathtaking views of the nearby sites. Simón Bolívar promenade, often called Malecón 2000. Between the Rio Guayas and the Simon Bolivar road (Avenida 12) is a 2.4 km long, picturesque brick-paved walkway.

  • Parque Historico Guayaquil
  • This distinctive park pays tribute to all that embodies Guayaquil's past and present history. The three zones—wildlife, traditions, and urban- show how the various components interact. Forty-five species of animals, birds, and reptiles can be seen in the wildlife zone in their native environments. There is a cafe and artifacts from the early 20th Century in the urban architectural zone. Finally, you can study Guayaquil's rural customs, crafts, and architecture in the traditions zone. This is the place to go if you want to see everything at a glance!

  • Las Penas
  • Often cited as the top tourist destination in Guayaquil, Las Penas is a pleasant site with arguably the most excellent view in the city. But there's a catch: you'll have to put forth some effort to see the beautifully renovated multicolored mansions, 360-degree city vistas, and fantastic bars and restaurants flanking the trail. It takes 444 numbered stairs to reach the summit, which can be difficult for some people to climb in the middle of the day. You'll be happy you got this gem if you take your time and make stops along the way. The path is patrolled by tourist police in case you need anything, and it's well worth climbing because the lighthouse at the top provides a fantastic view over the city and Ecuador's coast.
